Since its inception in 1987, Baranagore Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Praktan Chhatra Sansad (BRKMAPCS) has aimed to implement the ideal of ‘Shivagyane Jivaseva’ i.e. "Service to Mankind is service to God". It has rendered services towards poorest of poor, in the form of organizing medical camps, blood donation camps, distribution of relief materials and multifarious social works alongwith contributing to the infrastructure of the school and scholarship to the students. I would take this opportunity to invite all the Alma mater of this century-old, prestigious institution to celebrate the fraternity by actively participating in these philanthropic activities. Swami Vivekananda, on 23.6.1894 wrote in a letter to the King of Mysore, ‘This life is short, the vanities of the world are transient, but they alone live who live for others, the rest are more dead than alive.’ BRKMAPCS has given a stage to the alumni of this prestigious educational institute to come out from our own little self-centred well and to live together in a better, friendly world for ‘Bahujana Hitay Bahujana Sukhay’.
